Meta announced earlier this month that it expects its expenses in 2023 to be between $89 billion and $95 billion, a move CEO Mark Zuckerberg has dubbed "The Year of Efficiency."
In November, WhatsApp owner Facebook Inc announced that it was cutting more than 11,000 jobs or 13% of its workforce—a move similar to announcements made by other tech companies such as Amazon.com and Microsoft Corp which have laid off thousands of workers due to the economic downturn.
